Why Choose Glass Splashbacks?
Splashbacks are a diverse and modern feature in the home. Commonly found in the kitchen, they are essentially one large glass tile that works to protect the wall behind the glass surface.
With a range of colours, patterns and finishes to choose from, your splashback will not only provide a practical function but will complement the rest of your room beautifully; matching your current interior design.

What Should I consider?
It’s important to take your time when choosing your splashback, as there are many things to consider to make sure you end up with exactly what you wanted.

Colour
Our customers can choose their desired colour from the RAL colour chart. With plenty of variation in shades, you don’t have to worry about not finding the right one!
Click on the link further down this page to view our interactive kitchen and experiment with the colours of the RAL colour chart.
We also offer a colour matching service if you’d like your splashback to match your walls or kitchen cabinets exactly!

Prints/patterns
If you’re looking for something a little extra than block colour, we are able to apply prints, special effects or patterns to give your glass a more personalised finish. All we require is a picture or detailed description of the look you want to achieve, and we can turn your design vision into a reality.

Toughened
Be aware that the glass going directly behind the hob needs to be toughened. The rest of the splashback can be regular, untoughened glass if you wish.

Rooms
They are great for bouncing light around a room, making a confined space look spacious.
Consider all your options, as splashbacks are not simply confined to the kitchen area. They are also extremely practical in bathrooms and en-suites, behind sinks, baths and inside shower enclosures, creating a glossy surface whilst protecting the wall behind from sprays and splashes.
Have you thought about glass upstands too, for a small border?

FAQs
A: We can source most prints, so if you see something you like, bring it in and we can make it into a splashback.
Q: What is the thickness of the splashback glass?A: Splashback thickness is usually 6mm, but we can do other thicknesses e.g. 8mm.
Q: Can you see through the splashback glass?A: The glass is back-painted so you cannot see through to the wall or the adhesive. So unlike stained glass, it is a completely opaque finish.
Q: Do you offer a guarantee on glass splashbacks?A: We offer a 3 year guarantee against colour failure. Please note: there are no guarantees on breakages, except if the splashback was to break off its own accord.
Q: What condition does my wall need to be in?A: Our glass can be used on most surfaces, so don’t worry too much about the condition of your walls..
Q: Can I cut the splashback glass myself?A: If your splashback is made from toughened, heat-resistant glass, then it cannot be cut once fitted. However, if the glass has not been toughened, then it can be cut safely
How To Measure Up
Once you’ve chosen the splashback you’d like, you just need to take a few measurements which will enable us to provide a quote and supply the exact size and shape you need.
If you require supply only, these will be the measurements we refer to when cutting the glass. If you are having a supply and fitting service from us, then we will send out one of our glaziers to take secondary measurements, once the job has been agreed – just to make sure we have 100% accurate measurements to work with!
Watch our measuring video or view the step by step instructions below to learn how to take the most accurate measurements.

Draw a horizontal line that is in the middle of the wall space, between your worktop and your wall cabinets.

Next, measure the vertical lines to make sure the lines are all equal.

Add up the total number of sockets and light switches the splashback area will cover.

Take dimensions to the centre of the sockets; both width and height.
Maintenance & Upkeep
It’s imperative to factor splashbacks into your regular cleaning regime – luckily, glass splashbacks are one of the easiest materials to keep clean!
First, remove any grease or fatty deposits using a damp sponge. Remember to pay particular attention to behind the hob, as this is where most of the grease and fat will build up.
Using a streak-free glass cleaner, spray over the glass and leave for 1-2 minutes, then thoroughly wipe clean using a lint-free cloth.
We do NOT recommend using any abrasive or hard-cleaning pads or cloths, as these could scratch the glass. Likewise, you should never use any harsh solvents either.
